Police investigating armed robbery on Bryant street

Two armed suspects robbed a man of his wristwatch at gunpoint in the 900s block of Bryant Street on April 15. The same suspects are reported to have committed other crimes the same night using a car with stolen license plates.

According to the Palo Alto Police Department’s report released late Friday night, the victim had his child in the car when he was robbed, and neither the child nor the victim were physically harmed.

“The child remained in the vehicle during the crime and was not addressed by the suspects,” the PAPD report said.

The report said the suspects were also loitering outside a Patagonia store at 525 Alma Street before being noticed by security.

“The (suspect) immediately drove off,” the PAPD report said. “The security guard recorded the license plate on the car, and police learned that the license plate had been reported stolen out of Oakland.”

The suspects have been described as two unknown age males wearing ski masks, driving a black two-door Honda Accord with tinted windows.

“Officers pursued the suspect vehicle, ultimately choosing to end the pursuit on Sand Hill Road in Menlo Park as the suspects were driving recklessly,” the PAPD report said.

The investigation is ongoing and the suspects remain at large.
