On Jan. 22, the much anticipated Quadglobe will begin. The Campanile has done the research on this year’s acts and compiled a day-by day breakdown on every performer in the lineup.

[divider]Monday[/divider]

The first-ever Quadglobe kicks off with up-and-coming alternative band Luke Mulani, which consists of four freshmen: Bryant Sid, David Snyder, Marina Buendia and Jasper Ahrends.

“I’m excited for the music that this band has to offer,” said senior Marissa Ludwig. “I’ve heard lots about them from my friends and can’t wait to hear them live.”

Quadglobe is one of the band’s first shows, so be sure to stay on the lookout as the future of Paly music takes the stage on Monday.

[divider]Tuesday[/divider]

They’re back — Paly’s biggest music phenomenon since Martin from Palo Alto, Oscar’s Band hopes to provide a jolt to second semester’s otherwise dull mood. With a 25-minute set, the group is expected to debut significant new material as well as perform old classics.

“It’s kind of a secret,” said senior Oscar Scherer, de facto leader of Oscar’s Band. “We don’t wanna spoil it, but it’s going to be pretty different from last time.”

One can only wonder which direction the band will choose to move in after their groundbreaking debut performance at Quadchella last September.

The singing duo of Kelsey Lu and Lia Straight will precede Oscar’s Band as an opening act.

[divider]Wednesday[/divider]

 Perhaps one of the most varied days yet, Wednesday is sure to offer something for everyone. Fans of soft rock can look forward to an invigorating performance from Miles’ Garage, which consists of juniors Miles Schulman, Lucas Washburn, Lucia Amieva-Wang and Leela Srinivasan, and performs songs by artists like Pink Floyd, the Beatles and the Red Hot Chili Peppers. K-pop fans can look forward to Paly K-pop Club’s opening performance.

Finally, people with passion for folk music are sure to enjoy a five-minute performance from Ole’s band. The band, which consists of seniors Ole Erickson, Niko Lillios and George Welch, is expected to play “Cotton Eyed Joe.”

No matter who you are, Wednesday’s performances are sure to having something in store for you.

Romaine is one of the most anticipated groups to perform at Quadglobe this year. With breakout success in September’s Quadchella and a special performance at a Teen Open Mic Night at Mitchell Park in December, Romaine is coming in strong this Thursday.

The band is known for performing songs of the rock variety, but have even gone so far as to perform original works written by mastermind lead singer senior Emily Tomz. The band features Tomz on vocals, senior Andrew Huang on guitar, junior Gil Weissman on bass and senior Vijay Sharma on the drums.

[divider]Friday[/divider]

Plastic Flowers is a band that combines the musical talents of seniors Gabe Cohen and Benner Mullin. Compared to other bands performing at Quadglobe, Plastic Flowers is not as well-known, and have only hosted exclusive underground performances.

However, given their placement as headliners on the final day of Quadglobe, a day that features students arriving to school in rave gear, it can be expected that the band is both talented and invigoratingly energetic.
